Talent and Culture in Naples: Larissa Iapichino Receives the 2026 Artis Suavitas Award

The evocative courtyard of the Maschio Angioino in Naples hosted the seventh edition of the Artis Suavitas Award, a prestigious honor celebrating outstanding Italian figures in culture, art, social impact, and sports who lead by merit and example.

Larissa was presented with the bronze sculpture "The Tree of Culture" (L’Albero della Cultura), crafted by master sculptor Domenico Sepe. The artwork, featuring deep, firm roots and upward-reaching branches, serves as a perfect metaphor for the powerful takeoff and flight that define the long jump.

During the ceremony, hosted by Bruno Gaipa and Giusy Meloni, the European Champion of Birmingham shared the stage with prominent figures from the national scene, including Lino Banfi, Bianca Balti, Lina Sastri, Ernst Knam, and Francesco Di Leva. This award celebrates not only her outstanding achievements on the track but also her unwavering commitment, sportsmanship, and the positive inspiration she provides to the younger generation every single day.
