Larissa Iapichino | Cooling Break – Dentro lo sport, fuori dal campo

Ranked number one in the world in the long jump and European champion in Birmingham 2026 with a leap of 7 meters, Larissa Iapichino opens up for over an hour on *Cooling Break*—a segment by *Chiamarsi Bomber* that explores the lives of athletes beyond the playing field.

From the expectations that come with being the daughter of famous parents to the moment the long jump "chose" her; from her two disappointments in Japan—an injury before Tokyo 2021 and missing the final in Tokyo 2025—to her work with a psychotherapist; and finally, the 2026 season: her personal best in Eugene (surpassing her mother Fiona’s record), her European gold, her embrace with Malaika Mihambo, and reaching the top of the world rankings.

She also discusses her relationship with her father and coach, Gianni; meeting Usain Bolt; her passion for football and the Italian national team; an evening at San Siro; her experience at Milan Fashion Week; dealing with social media criticism; her childhood appearances in Kinder commercials; and her dream of becoming a lawyer. Along the way, there are *Cooling Break* games and a few never-before-shared revelations.
