Larissa Iapichino has been named one of the 100 Builders of Florence (I 100 Costruttori di Firenze), a SaveTheCity project that tells the stories of people, associations and businesses who give something real back to the city.
The project grew out of the Firenze nel Cuore Award, promoted by SaveTheCity with the patronage of the City of Florence. It isn’t a ranking. It’s an archive of one hundred stories, organised by neighbourhood and sector, showing who is building the Florence of tomorrow every day.
Larissa appears in the “Sport and Education” category. She was chosen for her sporting career and for the way she represents Florentine sport: an example of commitment that brings Florence visibility well beyond its borders. Her profile also notes her new Italian long jump record of 7.12 metres, set in 2026.
For Larissa, who was born and raised as an athlete in Florence, this recognition goes beyond the numbers on the board. It’s about her bond with her city.
