The Result

At the Italian Indoor Championships in Ancona, held the weekend of February 28, Larissa Iapichino confirmed her national leadership by winning her ninth Italian title in the long jump with a leap of 6.78 meters. The Italian athlete landed the winning leap on her second attempt and then finished with a solid 6.71 meters. With this victory, Iapichino clearly outdistanced her opponents Arianna Battistella (6.47 m) and Ottavia Cestonaro (6.30 m), demonstrating her ability to master even the most technically challenging days with authority and now confidently heads to the World Indoor Championships at the end of the month.
