The Result

Larissa Iapichino wins the gold medal in the long jump at the 2025 European Indoor Championships with an exceptional 6.94m on her third attempt! The Italian long jumper of the Fiamme Oro beats the Swiss Kalin (silver with 6.90m) and the German Mihambo (bronze with 6.88m), improving on the result of her mother Fiona May. “I am infinitely dead, I am about to faint, it was a difficult and fast race. But it was beautiful,” declared an emotional Iapichino. “I believed in it until the end, I wanted to go there and break everything. I beat her, I won the title with three centimeters more…”. After the silver in Istanbul 2023 and the silver at the 2024 European Outdoor Championships in Rome, Larissa finally wins the continental gold, dedicating it “to all those who are resilient in what they do”.
